Greetings from Pearlington,
We are wrapping up our extensive week of work. With the wonderful help from the Santa Cruz group we accomplished more than we could have expected. Here is the run down...
Sandra's
Continued trash and debris removal (we can see the grass in the yard now)
Power washed and bleached to house for the first time. This will take several repeated efforts.
Removed the old and molded piano from the living room (remember that Eileen)
Pulled up the remaining hardwood flooring and linoleum
Diaz
Finished some mud, tape and sanding on upstair hallway
Layed some floor coating to level and reinforce soft sub-floor
Measured sheet rock for stairwell-will purchase that material on Thur
Measured bathroom for shower/tub unit-will purchase that unit on Thur
Talked to Tim Goodnow about their continued work on Diaz beginning Thur/Fri upon our departure.
Dawsey
Purchased lumber for completion of front porch
Crews worked on front porch rafters for three days completing nearly all of the structure in preparation for roofing.
Insulated the entire upstairs
Sonnier
Insulated the under floor of the elevated structure and secured with foam sheeting
Finish mudded and sanded living room window and bathroom
Finish patched several areas needing completion throughout the house

Four days of debris removal from yard and dog kennels
Removal of items from shed, electrical work
Thompson
Chalked and treated front entrance
Working on installing rear patio doors
Measured and designed rear deck and handicap ramp
Maculis
Scraped floors removing drywall mud in preparation for flooring
Removed and cleaned away debris from yard area
Caulked and sealed rear door
Dixon
Purchased pump and tank for Tony's fema trailer
Crews also prepared our tent trailer installing new canvas for use by volunteers and installed floor tile in donated fema trailer in preparation for occupancy.
Once again, the Santa Cruz group has made this all happen. They were truly God sent...Hilary and I are very grateful for their assistance. Tom
