Pearlington Project Work Trips

The local Pearlington Project “Mountains to Mississippi” is currently recruiting volunteers for several 7 to 10 day work trips to Pearlington to take place in early 2007. Especially needed are volunteers with construction experience, particularly carpenters, electricians, and plumbers.

Do something different this New Year...Take a break from the cold and help rebuild homes for Pearlington residents who have lost everything.
To sign up, email Project Coordinator Tom Dalessandri at tom@pearlingtonproject.com

Requests for Help

The Coalition of Disaster Relief Agencies (CODRA) has put out an urgent call for volunteers to help with the massive rebuilding effort in the hurricane-ravaged town of Pearlington, Mississippi.

Recently, the number of volunteers helping on the ground in Pearlington has dropped off dramatically. Yet, the need for assistance is still great: many residents are still without homes. Tragically, although building materials are finally available for reconstruction, there are not enough volunteers to staff the reconstruction projects.
